It is long enough to fully utilize the full powder column potential of the larger 338 caliber cartridges such as the 33XC, 338 ENABELR, 338-375 Weatherby Mag, 338 Edge, 338 Lapua, and 338 Norma. The contour of the barrel is optimal to perfectly fit within the weight limit for the LIGHT CLASS ELR matches.
